How Micro Prayers Changed My Morning Routine

My mornings used to begin in a rush. Before I was fully awake, I was already reviewing obligations, emails, and unfinished thoughts. I was up, but I was not grounded.
The Old Pattern
I used to reach for my phone before I reached for stillness. That choice quietly set the tone: reaction before reflection, pressure before presence.
The Small Change
I began using one short prayer before getting out of bed: God, meet me in this day.
Nothing dramatic happened overnight. The room did not glow. My schedule did not shrink. But something subtle changed. I started the day with attention instead of panic.
What Changed Over Time
- I felt less reactive in the first hour of the day.
- I noticed ordinary beauty more often.
- I carried less internal noise into conversations.
Why I Kept Going
